Christmas Shopping Event and Prize Draw
We are really looking forward to the Christmas Shopping Event here at Heart of the Country Shopping Village where we will be open late on Friday 25th November until 9pm.
As part of this special event, we have decided to run a prize draw. Anyone who purchases from our jewellery gallery over the weekend (25th – 27th November) will automatically be entered into the draw to win either a gents or ladies Danish Design Watch from our watch gallery.

Coloured Diamonds
Whilst coloured diamonds have recently gained popularity across the industry, they have always fascinated Allen Brown and he has always used them in his work. Coloured diamonds are rare and renowned for their dazzling beauty and are found in pinks, greens, browns, champagnes, cognacs, yellows and a full spectrum of blues. Their unique brilliance, combined with warmth and depth of colour gives them a sparkle unlike any other coloured gem.
Diamonds were formed millions of years ago, by immense heat and pressure deep within the earth’s surface. When diamonds formed with traces of other elements present, natural coloured diamonds were created. For every coloured diamond, there are 10,000 colourless ones.
The presence of nitrogen created yellow and orange shades to diamonds. Boron traces created blue diamonds, ranging from sky blue to deep navy. Hydrogen traces produced unique violet hues and naturally occurring radiation reacting with diamonds over millions of years created green diamonds.

On Saturday 16th July a joint celebratory evening was held at Heart of the Country to celebrate 30 years in business for Allen Brown Jewellery and 25 years for The Pear Tree Creperie.
With around 400 guests, music from Derek Brock, Rebecca Kelly and Joelle Barker Quartet created the perfect atmosphere for the evening.
Speeches were made to welcome the guests to the event and they were treated to delicious crepes and galettes from the ‘Live Catering’ crepe bar throughout the evening.
Prize draw tickets were sold during the evening with some fabulous prizes including a diamond pendant, silver necklace and ladies/gents watch from Allen Brown Jewellery and gift vouchers and champagne on offer from The Pear Tree Creperie. All proceeds from the prize draw will go to the Lichfield branch of Parkinson’s UK with Margaret Davies the Branch Chair in attendance on the evening. In total £600 was raised for a very worthy cause.
Allen Brown Jewellery and The Pear Tree Creperie would like to thank everyone for their support and custom over their 30 and 25 years respectively and look forward to seeing you at Heart of the Country soon.

Allen Brown certainly does have experience in the exceptional. In July this year, he will be celebrating 30 years in business with Allen Brown Jewellery. With such a momentous occasion approaching it gives him chance to look back and reflect on how far his business has come with his beautiful pieces still earning nominations for the top awards in the jewellery industry….
30th Birthday Celebrations!
In July 2016. Allen Brown Jewellery celebrates its 30th year in business. During 2016 all customers spending more than £250 at the gallery will automatically be entered in the ‘Golden Ticket Draw’ where the lucky winner will win a prize worth £2500!
