Find an Alzheimer’s Society collection tin in our jewellery gallery. We are raising money for Alzheimer’s Society during our ‘Village in Bloom’ week 29th June – 7th July
You are now able to buy raffle tickets from all restaurants and shops at the Village for £1 each or £5 a book with some fantastic prizes on offer
You are invited to come and join us at Heart of the Country Village, Lichfield and experience three unique tasting plates in our three fantastic restaurants. Each tasting plate will be enjoyed in a different location, allowing for a very social atmosphere. This is part of ‘ Village in Bloom for Alzheimer’s Society’ week an event which includes fantastic floral displays and demonstrations to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society
Your experience will commence with a glass of Pimms at Nourish by The Lichfield Tea Company. From here the fun begins, your ticket will designate your first eating location, either The Barn at Swinfen for tapas style share platters or The Pear Tree Creperie for savoury galettes and tartiflette. All dietary requirements will be catered for. Once your tasting course is complete, there will be a small break to enjoy a beautiful musical interlude, before you journey to your next eatery. Finally, you will finish your evening where you started at Nourish by The Lichfield Tea Company, where you will enjoy dessert and coffee.
The Swinfen Supper Club is raising money for The Alzheimer’s Society so in addition to proceeds from your ticket being donated, we also hope to raise money through a raffle with tickets being sold throughout ‘Village in Bloom’ week where we will be holding a timetable of events at the Village from Saturday 29th June to Sunday 7th July.

Glittering chance: Find out if you’re sitting on a jewellery windfall and support charity Heart of the Country Shopping Village. A jewellery and silver expert is heading to Allen Brown Jewellery to do free valuations in aid of charity.
Helen Smith, head of jewellery at Hansons Auctioneers, will host an Antique Jewellery and Silverware Valuation Day on July 4th 11am-4pm, at Allen Brown Jewellery.
There will be no charge for valuations but donations will be invited for the Alzheimer’s Society. The event is part of Swinfen’s Village in Bloom week, which will run from June 29th to July 7th to aid the charity cause.
Helen Smith, an expert in all types of antique and vintage jewellery, said: “I’m so happy to be using my knowledge to help the Alzheimer’s Society. Nearly all of us know someone who has been affected by it and the devastating impact it can have on families.
“I’m looking forward to uncovering some antique or vintage gems. I can value anything and everything from silver to diamond rings, bracelets, necklaces, brooches and watches.
“If people are happy with their valuations, they can enter the item into a future jewellery auction at Hansons, which hosts sales in both Staffordshire and Derbyshire.”
The Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia support and research charity to help anyone affected by any form of dementia. They believe passionately that life doesn’t end when dementia begins.
